Mt Erebus air crash 

-New Zealand History

The morning of 28 November 1979, Air New Zealand

left an airport in Auckland, for an 11-hour return from

sightseeing in Antarctica.

At 12.49 pm the aircraft crashed into the slopes of mt Erebus

Killing all 237 passengers and 20 crew onboard. It was New Zealand’s worst civil disaster in New Zealand History.

A search and rescue aircraft was sent to Antarctica. The wreckage was sighted at the start of the sloping mountain.

A National Mt Erebus memorial will be unveiled in 2020.

The wide-bodied DC10 jet operated by Air New Zealand flew into the lower slopes of the world's southernmost active volcano, the 3794-meter-high Mt Erebus in Antarctica, killing all 257 people on board the Air New Zealand sightseeing flight. Chief air accident inspector accused them of flying to low he was obviously suspicious of them not following airline orders.

Air New Zealand Flight 901 was a scheduled Air New Zealand Antarctic sightseeing flight that operated between 1977 and 1979. The flight would leave Auckland Airport in the morning and spend a few hours flying over the Antarctic continent.

MT Erebus

Mt Erebus

Flight 901 was the flight that crashed into the slopes of the 6th highest mountain.

Located on ross island is the big volcano that killed all on board.

The wreckage was found by search and rescue.

nobody left alive on the plane it had gotten destroyed in the snow.

It all took place in 1979.

It last erupted in 2011.

 The 3,794-m mountain is the second-highest volcano in Antarctica.

There were 157 people onboard being immediately killed as soon as it crashed.

It wasn't the volcano that killed them all it was the whiteout so they couldn't see.

The whiteout disappeared soon and they crashed into the volcano.

0300 Hour

Major general Jari has another assignment for us at 0600 hour

Walking to playground up steps push-ups, star jumps and jumping jacks

All in miniman I’ve done this before but we need to go down the pole this time

0600 Hour

I did it! another rank up I’m lieutenant now, I’m in charge of a whole bunch of soldiers

Our next assignment is at 0900 hours I can’t wait!

News is that is it isn’t an assignment it is a mission :D I have to find an EDD

For us. I like EDDs they are good company and good at sniffing out IEDs.

We have gone to the kennels and found a good Labrador we call him Dogger,

He’s Curious which is sometimes good but can get him killed which is bad the
mission starts at 0300 Hour.

The dog is good no IEDs can get past him he sniffs them out in seconds!
we’ve got the best dog in the army and Dogger likes sniffing

Our mission is to board a cruise ship called the Cleopatra at 0600 hours.

It's being held hostage by a group of hijackers.

We are on board the Cleopatra. I finally got to meet my team: Lucky, Ben, Tom, Mathew, Jack.

Jeff jumped into the pond SPLASH!

And Francis jumped on Jeff OW! said, Jeff

They swam around the tadpoles,

And saw toad who was eating flies STICK!

And then they went to go get food

After that, it started raining QUICK! Shouted

WALT: today  We did an activity to help the environment and ways to use less plastic and wrappers in our lunch box. I really enjoyed working together with Jackson. The most challenging thing was finding facts. We did this activity blog post for environment activities we have been doing.

that's what I and Curtis choose.

 because we do lots of animations I even won star blogger.

I've done animations with about 6 friends

in my life but I did a couple of animations.

I just like making animations it's like a film but harder to make because you have to make everything

move and when you make it move it goes less than a millimeter

which is kinda annoying.

I haven't done any movies(which is what I like to call them) with Curtis yet but we have been planning one we have no idea about what it's about but we will figure it out, anyway I've mostly done animations about battles which I think is cool.

my first animation was 1000 slides which is awesome I think.
