This is my summer learning journey activity for today, This activity was to color in a picture of something related to NASA. The picture I chose was an astronaut. I enjoyed this because I am interested in space.

Today with Takutai we did the summer learning journey. Today’s activity was to write about our culture.  I enjoyed this because I could see what I knew about myself.

Polynesian Voyage - Summer learning Journey

 

This week Whenua and Takutai we have been practicing for the SLJ (Summer learning journey).

In this activity, we had to write about 5 objects to bring with us on a Polynesian voyage.

The 5 objects I brought were - Carrots, Eggs, Seeds, Potatoes, and a filter straw so I have unlimited water.

Diya - Diwali

 

This is the Diya I made for Diwali. A Diya is a clay oil lamp used in India to celebrate Diwali. I enjoyed making the Diya as we got to mold it out of clay and then engrave patterns and paint them. I have two photos of my Diya one from the top and one from the side.
