Diya - Diwali

 

This is the Diya I made for Diwali. A Diya is a clay oil lamp used in India to celebrate Diwali. I enjoyed making the Diya as we got to mold it out of clay and then engrave patterns and paint them. I have two photos of my Diya one from the top and one from the side.

Mothers day card

This is the card that I drew for Mother's day yesterday.  I looked at two different pictures of a fantail (Piwakawaka) to get inspiration. For my grandmas, I drew a cornflower and some poppies. I enjoyed drawing the birds and flowers.
